An old standby talk topic that always grabbed calls <jingle:
"Remember..."> were the former exchange names in Greater Lowell.  WCAP
was "GLenview 8-9123".  I used to joke that "if you have a really old
phone, dial "GLenview 8-9123" and one caller actually wrote me a note to
"inform" me that "we must all dial seven digits now...."  I think most
got the joke, however.  We'd build the list of ULyses, MYrtle, TUxedo,
ALpine, and others in the area.
