I don't know if they are still around or not, but back when I first got
into radio I worked in Brattleboro at WKVT (there were no FM's in town
back then) and I remember on my trips north hearing WVMT going into the
top of the hour news (CBS I think) with the liner
"This is Vermont......WVMT Burlington" then the CBS tone and
sounder....Impressive for a 20 year old wet behind the ears
