Re: ratings

I remember once while I worked there (WBUR) I saw a hand-drawn graph
representing our market share in 25-54 (which is, without a doubt, the
target audience) and it went like this for a typical weekday (this was back
in early 1999 I think)

2am - 6am : low, but that was to be expected
6am - 8am : spikes up (Morning Edition)
8am - 9am : plateau (Morning Edition)
9am - 10am : sharp drop to mid-level (BBC NewsHour)
10am - 12n: BIG spike (Connection w/Lydon)
12n - 1pm : plummetted to unpleasant levels (Here & Now - but remember it
was still brand-new with no following then)
1pm - 2pm : mid-level (Fresh Air)
2pm - 4pm : uncomfortably low (Talk of the Nation - I think Juan Williams
was host at the time)
4pm - 7pm : sharp rise to high levels (All Things Considered)
7pm - 8pm : reasoable dropoff (Marketplace followed by BBC World Today)
8pm - 10pm : mid-level (Connection rebroadcast)

I don't remember what 10pm to 2am was like. Pretty low I'd imagine, but
that would be expected as it was all BBC and a rebroadcast of Fresh Air.

As I said, hand-drawn but not really sloppy, it was based on real numbers,
or so I was told. I wonder how Special Coverage (7-9pm) is doing in the
ratings?
