As a native of the Portland market, I recall a custom
version of Sugarloaf's February 1975 hit 
"Don't Call Us, Will Call You". The line went "You
remember the all night preacher {FROM STEREO JBQ}" as
opposed to "STEREO 92".

I remember WVBF playing Chicago's Searching So Long
and right along 
with the
music was sung "wonnnn-000-five, wvbfff".
