Re: stations still using carts

Believe it or not, WSHL-FM (Stonehill College) in
Easton, MA is currently using carts and burned CD's.
However, carts are heading for extinction at 'SHL
within the next few weeks. We will be going to a
Digilink Free system for (PSA's, promos and current
playlist music material only). The rest of the stuff
will be on CD's and some vinyl material as well. We
already have a very basic Gateway PC automation system
during the school breaks courtesy of Winamp. Our
legal ID's are automatically inserted using an old
cart machine fired by a Radio Shack "vox-clock".
After three years, it has never lost a second of time.
 It's so low-tech it's beautiful. 73.
