I agree that sports on 95.5 IS a waste, I personally thought he should
have had a simulcast of WCLZ/ whatever 95.5's previous call letters
were.....when they were doing the classic rock thing. I bet if it got more
coverage in Maine it would have had a good chance of taking a good chunk
out of WBLM's listeners......especially the older listeners who would
rather have a variety of classic rock rather then the same 3 Boston songs,
the same 3 Skynerd songs, etc......I was suprised when he changed that
station to sports. How does WRED do in the ratings? What is WIDE's current
format? Interesting that he and Bob Fuller owned WIDE previously as well,
bought it when there was a WIDE-FM at 94.3, and ended up keeping the FM
frequency and turning it into a unique format which was a huge risk but
ended up being the very successful and grounbreaking WCYY.....
