If the song you mention is a Top-40 song, could it have been the CHR
station in D.C. that's on 99.5 -- the old Jammin 99? Or is that too far
for FM DX?

I know for certain it couldn't have been the 99.5 in New York (WBAI).
That's not the kind of music they play, when/if they play music.
