When it becomes a "show."

A neighbor of mine who hasn't gone near a TV since about 3 PM Tuesday
made an interesting observation to me as I was whining about how
stressed my viewing of this stuff is making me. He walked away from
the TV when he began to notice the "label" on the screen (America
Attacked/America Under Fire/America _____) and then the "segments"
began to roll in with music themes, sounders with that plucking
strings urgency. All that time and I was oblivious to it. And then
I realized that the jets crashed each tower once. Each tower crumbled
but once. But my eyes and then my minds eye relived those horrible
images countless times by viewing the image. Not sure where I'm
going with this, but TVLand might be my option for sanity's sake.
(Good thing there's no sanity claus (sic) in my contract....
