I have just spent the last couple of days, as have many in our industry, 
trying to give people as much information as possible...in as calm and 
reasonable a manner as possible...details about one of the most destructive 
incidents in our history.  We all watched, in living color, as people 
died.  We have heard the voices, we have seen the blood.  I am sure most of 
us know someone who was lost.
In my time away from work I have been watching and reading as some threads 
among this group's members have degenerated into written shouting 
matches.  Fine.
Now I am seeing arguments about whether a moment of silence to honour and 
remember the victims should be allowed on constitutional grounds.
How petty.
How sad.
How soon we forget.
