Bangor TV news

Starting sometime this month, WVII is dropping its 5
o'clock show (News 7 at 5) and getting rid of
entertainment tonight at 5:30 in favor of "Friends'". 
But perhaps a more interesting development is the
addition of Jan Smith as producer and co-anchor.  Jan
Smith is leaving channel 2 as Gannett is continuing to
cut back.  According to some people I know over there,
channel 2 will become nothing more than a bureau, with
all its news originating out of Portland.  Stay
