And 'BCN's ratings are the lowest in a LONG TIME... (When is the last time 'BCN was below 3.3? (BTW: WGIR-FM seems to also be a benefactor of the BCN decline with their 1.3 share in a market they put ZERO emphasis on)

Emphasis on 'used to'. WAAF used to be the dominant station in the
Worcester area but in the early 90's it began to pay more attention to
encroaching in the Boston market. Since that point, it's always been
WXLO, WSRS and WTAG finishing in Top 3 with WAAF being fourth in Woreceter.
Meanwhile, WAAF made some noticeable gaims in the Boston book, especially
in the last five years. WAAF consistenly placed at the bottom of FMs
in the Boston book(behind WFNX,WCGY and WPLM) until sales-driven
ARS bought it in 1996 and began aggressive marketeing of WAAF
as the 'Boston' station....
