RE: Radio Netherlands on shortwave

Counsellor,

The digital transmission technology that Radio Netherlands is promoting is
called DIGITAL radio mondiale,
or Drm [note the funny capitalization seems to be part of the trade name].
Anyway here's the link to the official Drm web site:

Subject: Radio Netherlands on shortwave

Since the BBC discontinued its shortwave broadcasts to North America,
Radio Netherlands has "temporarily" taken over those frequencies with a
series of programs promoting themselves to North American listeners. They
also say they are celebrating the 'digital future of shortwave."
Apparently there is a new digital technology coming which, they claim,
will make shortwave sound like FM.

Talk about seizing the day!
