Clear Channel changes in CT?

Interesting liner heard on WWYZ 92.5 Waterbury/Hartford today: "Rumors
are flying about a new country station in Hartford. If you're looking
for more information, you're tuned to the right station. Country 92.5."

Another interesting positioning promo heard on WPOP 1410 (ESPN Radio)
compares the Clear Channel Hartford cluster to members of the UConn Lady
Huskies basketball team. Mentioned by frequency are 92.5 (WWYZ), 104.1
(WMRQ), 105.9 (WHCN) and 1410. Notable by its omission is 95.7 WKSS.

This all could be coincidence, and the WWYZ liner just a tease for a
tweaking of its format. But maybe something's brewing here, perhaps a
flip of WKSS away from the rhythmic niche now super-served by WZMX and
WKCI, to a different country format? There's very little twang left in
WWYZ's music mix now -- mostly Hot New Country and the odd pop oldie
(heard Dobie Gray's "Drift Away" today and have heard America's "Sister
Golden Hair" several times; don't recall either getting any country
airplay as currents.). You think maybe a more mainstream country outlet
would find an audience in Connecticut?
