The Monarchs are affiliated with the Los Angeles Kings. (Monarchs / Kings,
I see a connection!). 

 The LA Kings, if I understand correctly, had a partial relationship with
the Spinners, providing some of their players to the Lowell franchise. You
may now see some of those players in Manchester.
