One of those times when WEEI changed hands from CBS to Helen
Broadcasting (1982) -- or from Helen to the Celtics (1990) -- the
station changed its positioner from "NewsRadio 59" to "NewsRadio 590".

It seemed a pointless change at the time.  Had the old ID been a
trademark not transferred with the station?

So... is it time to check whether WGAN is under new management?
