Re: Nail in streaming's coffin

I continue to be amazed at how short sighted folks like the representatives of
RIAA and AFTRA seem to be. With the resources they have available, maybe they
should be focusing their efforts on doing what the broadcasters are doing, only
doing it better. They've got the some of the best people/artists/talent
(whichever name you choose), and that's what matters most.

I read today about a test conducted recently by Sprint that brings 2.4MB/s to a
cell phone. Talk about wireless bandwidth! You'll be able to stream TV on your
"cell phone" and never miss a frame.

Or, take my trusty $10 AM/FM radio, set it on my favorite station, plug it into
my computer and stream whatever I want to my "cell phone" wherever I happen to
be.

But it's so much nicer to have the stations stream their audio. I certainly hope
they resolve these problems soon. I just got a fast enough 'net connection to be
able to enjoy it!
