It sounds credible, given that under the current AFTRA contract talent fees go
up 300% if radio spots are simulcast on the Internet.  There was a story about
it in Cynthia Turner's Cynopsis this morning; I sent the excerpt to the neradio
list earlier today if anyone's interested.   I have a feeling that this is the
excuse the major radio broadcasters have been looking for in curtailing their
money-losing web activities.  Between this and the US Copyright Office ruling,
Internet radio is doomed.  Hate to say it, but Uncle Mel was dead right on this
one.
