NECN Storm Coverage

Watching some of New England Cable News' storm coverage this morning.
Meterologist Joe Joyce was without weather graphics, radar and computers. He
explained that NECN's studio building had a power surge that blew out most
of their computers and weather radar system, so the forecast went on with
the hand held easel board and magic markers with hand drawn maps and such.
Brought back memories of the old WMUR Channel 9 from the 70's. Otherwise,
NECN did a good job despite the computer problems.

 Also a quick radio note:WCAP 980 Lowell was off the air for a while this
morning, due to a power outage in Downtown Lowell that affected their
Central St. studios. As of this posting, they are back on the air.
