The speculation is that there would be financial news during the day and sports
at night, with HN disappearing altogether.  That could make sense in a cable
universe where there are three news-oriented cable channels with decent
distribution.  It would likely pose a problem with cable operators who thought
they were signing up for an all-news channel, not a financial news/sports
hybrid.
