dear group, 

   got the following from my former WPOR pd/coworker regarding the wife of 
Bob Gold, former owner of WPOR/Ocean Coast Properties.

i just heard this afternoon that bob gold's wife durelle died this morning in 
the hospital..   she had been suffering with cancer and was on her second 
round of chemo.  i assume it will be in the paper soon.

    i'd like to pass along my condolences to Bob and family.  she was a nice 
lady who, like many broadcast spouses, shared her husband with the business 
and managed to raise a fine family.
