Re: WMEX business format
Dan :
The family/life talk network he's reportedly launching doesn't
involve WMEX but his OTHER stations(2 PA, 1 FL and 1 MA).
The business WMEX will NOT be tied to any shows on AM 1120.
My understanding is that Langer will be trying to recreate the
old 590 WBNW business talk format on 1060. Bob Glovsky of the
old Money Experts will resurface at the new business 1060.(the
other Expert was Rick Schaffer. He's currently with WTKK-FM
on weekends). The Money Couple will have a bigger role under the
new format, airing segments during AM and PM drives backed
by BBJ anchors/reporters.(I am not sure if WMEX will be crosspromoting
itself on WB56 in AM-drive since WMEX's morning host David Anthony
is already doing live BBJ updates for them during their new morning
show- WB56 in the Morning). I hear they're still considering a number
of business-related talk shows for middays. I didn't hear anything about
Gene but your conclusion is probably quite valid. That's pretty much
all the info I have as of now...
