I agree. It's likely at least one public official with responsibilities in
the health and safety arena was diverted from official duties answering
phone calls, a clearly foreseeable result of the hoax.

But the FCC didn't persue it, and CBS chose to reward the perps with a fat
contract in New York.

An embarrassment to the entire industry, IMO.
