In 1960 you had 4 stations on the air in Boston 2 4 5 and 7 plus 9, 10 and
12 which most people in the area had access to. I doubt Channel 2 was doing
anything on the convention in 1960
40 years ago people watched the conventions because they HAD to, now they
have more choices.
Still network television is what the conventions cater too, notice that on
Monday, Hillary did not speak until Monday Night Football was over and ABC
finally went live in LA.
