TV Station Logos - Lower Right Screen

Another e-mail list I subscribe to has
just started a thread on how obnoxious
the logo in the lower right corner of
the TV screen is.  They claim it obscures
subtitling.  Some claim that the upper
left corner would be better.  One
poster indicated that their favorite TV
station actually moves their logo out of
the way during MST3K - because of viewer
reaction.

Is there an official rule mandating that 
it be in the lower right-hand corner?
