Jan and Arnie

There were two groups that were predecessors of the 
Beach Boys--one was Jan and Dean; the other was Jan and 
Arnie. I don't know which of these two came first. The 
Jan in both groups was the same person. I've heard that 
Arnie's full name was Arnie Ginsburg. Is he (was he?) in 
any way related to Arnie Woo-Woo Ginsburg? Given Woo-
Woo's legendary voice, it's difficult to imagine him as 
part of a vocal group, but in show biz, stanger things 
have happened.
