just wanted to wait until that which some of us "various airstaff" knew
became official, which is the continuing climb of ratings numbers of stations
here on Morrissey Blvd, a fact which Brian seems to refuse to acknowledge.
(his reference above is from a previous post about poor ratings on 105.7
WROR...) The latest "trends" or rolling averages show WROR up from a 2.9 to
a 3.7. this follows a very good, UP, Fall ratings book.
As far as promotion goes, you won't be able to flip the dial on your tv
much without seeing the WROR TV promotional campaign. from the sched of run
times that was issued here, it's airing on all of the stations in some pretty
respectable timeslots. (JAG, NYPD Blue, Rosie, Newscasts, Dateline, Law &
Order, to name a few)
irt the taking of comments personally: when you address the station at
which i am employed specifically, i know i will respond specifically.
contrary to the perception of some, my coworkers and i consider ourselves
part of a team. if you find fault with any aspect of how the business
related to our call letters, in this case, WROR, is run, then i will act as a
team member and respond to you in kind. that's all.
i respect your opinion. that's what makes this newsgroup interesting
and fun. sure, we all bust chops, but we also share in a variety of ideas
and subjects related to radio, and not just commercial radio.
