Extreme Talk(Re: FNX in Providence?)

WJFK 106.7FM in DC. It was second in the fall
book among 12+ in the #9 market. Stern had the
no.1 morning show. G.Gordon Liddy was no.1 in
the 25-54 men. Don&Mike(headed to WNEW via WW1
next month) No.1 in the afternoon and among
most male demos. Of course, WJFK rolled out a
major TV ad blitz and a $1million give-away
during the fall book but their gains in the past year were quite impressive....

As far as WBCN switching to Extreme Talk up in
Boston? Never. The station makes way too many
perks by playing rock and their strong ties to
record companies are quite lucrative and
well known in the industry(didn't their PD won
a couple of black Mercedes in the past year?!).
Boston is not the market which could
ever support a 24-hour Extreme Talker.
It's more of heritage/traditional talk town
with WRKO(despite the lean toward younger
demos as of late), WTKK, WBZ(at night) and
now WMEX....
