Re: C-SPAN radio




As far as I remember (and I think it's all on their website, C-Span.org)
C-Span was started in 1979 by a conglomerate of cable companies when they
heard the US House was planning to install cameras in the chamber.  
Officially, it's run as a private not-for-profit, with a board of
directors representing 20? cable companies/other groups. Brian Lamb (the
Booknotes host) is C-Span's president.
