Repetition

Well, considering WCRB's consistant ratings performance, the amount of people
irritated by their repetition is a lot less that the amount of people who enjoy
hearing familiar and popular classical music. Heck, oldies stations have played
the same 300 titles over and over for the last 30 years and people seem to keep
on listening. In most formats, when you tighten the playlist, the ratings go
up. It stinks for musicphiles but it seems to be the only way to reach the
listener. In today's instant gratification world, you have to give the listener
what they want, every time--every song, or they're gone.
