Re: LPFM vs NAB

Well folks, LPFM has been voted to pass by 3 of the 5 FCC Commissioners. All
LPFM's must be "non-commercial". That's a joy for prospective religious
broadcasters, since the non-comm status should likely discourage individuals
from applying for an LPFM, thereby leaving more freqs open to Non-Commercial
(hee hee) aggressive religious broadcasters. But keep in mind that ANYone
can set up a non-profit org (for the preservation of Louisana Swamp Music
[for example]) and air such product on their station. (and seek on-air
donations). How 'bout preservation of 1980's rock music.... whatever.
The NAB has stated that they will "vow to aggressively seek ways to undo
the damage" regarding LPFM. I believe that they will be unsuccessful, or at
least not entirely successful.
So, folks, get your applications ready.
