Re: WMEX starts Monday

Does anyone know what WMEX's lineup looks like _before_
10:00 AM? 650 has been running Jim Paleologas (from Talk
America) from 6:00 to 7:00, Frankie Boyer's locally
produced herbal-remedies-for-everything show from 7:00
to 9:00, and Dr Derek DaSilva with another herbal-remedy
show from 9:00 to 10:00. (I think this one's also from
Talk America.) I can't imagine a weaker early AM lineup.
Wouldn't it be something if they could get Jess Cain to
come out of retirement!

Al Langer has been quoted as saying that the WMEX lineup
would be 100% local. If we are to believe him, the two
Talk America shows will be out. Meanwhile, the 9:00 to
11:00 financial talk show that originates from WBNW has
announced that they will be adding a station next week,
but they won't say which station. The financial show
already airs on eight stations from Newport RI to Dover
NH and as far west as WCRN. I suppose that the show may
finally be getting onto a good Boston signal--WCRN's
sister, WROL. However, had you not indicated that
Clapprood would be doing 10:00 to 12:00 on WMEX, 1060
would be another possibility, but then, so would WNTN.
