Hi Dan,
Considering the filth that passes for humor on today's radio, a good set up 
at the stroke of midnight would be fair game.  How about a few seconds of 
dead air and an officially sounding "unofficial" announcement of some 
sort?  Doesn't even have to be scary, something proclaiming Y2K compliance 
a la Les Nessman? Maybe even playing They're Coming to Take Me Away, Ahaa 
endless times?  Any jock worth his salt would be planning something 
special, if stuck on the board that night.
