Yeah....may be crude...but it's a great time filler up till the top of the
hour news :-)

When Radio WADO-1280 here still played music, that was a not-unheard of
way to head into local news (WADO in the 80s was a 24/7 live local full
service spanish station).

In the last year of operation before SBS sold the station
One-On-One Sports, the now defunct WSKQ-AM 620 (Super-KQ) would cut a
record off and  head into
their news with a liner that went like this: (rough translation from
espanol) "This song will be played in it's entirety after the news, here
on Super-KQ 620AM!!"

Ahhhh...the memories.....
