RE: Northeast Radio Watch 8/27

Scott mentioned in Northeast Radio Watch for
the past weekend that WCDJ 102.3 FM was on the air
in Truro. I was on the Cape the past weekend and
did not hear even a whimper of a signal on 102.3
(I was visiting Harwich, a couple of miles SE of
exit 10; if a station in Truro WAS broadcasting,
I would have picked it up.) One observation of
interest: WBUR re-broadcaster WSDH Sandwich, 91.5
was off the air the whole time I was there. WBIM
in Bridgewater came in like a local when I was on
the high ground areas of Rt 6. I know that WSDH
transmits from the high School in Sandwich that
is probably closed at this time of year; does WSDH
run unattended in the summer or go on hiatus
sometimes...I've heard it other times in the summer.
WBUR itself kept using the WSDH calls within its
lengthy multstation ID on the hour. Incidentally,WBUR
seemed a little stronger on the North side of the
Cape except where WKKL West Barnstable was at its
strongest. Is channel 215 emitting a somewhat more
powerful or LESS directional signal these days?
