As I type this note, a shooting has just happened at a Day Care Center in
Grenada Hills, CA. Sad, no doubt. CNN has patched in to KTLA, Channel 5
in LA. The reporter providing the information has clearly stated that all
of his information has come from police/ambulance/public service
frequencies on a scanner. Locally WTNH, in New Haven has actually
rebroadcast monitored transmissions on the air on numerous occasions. My
question, What is the current rule on rebroadcasting? 1. Using
information from a scanner, 2. rebroadcasting monitored transmissions in
real time, or 3. rebroastcasting monitored transmissions on a delay?
