"The Chucker" is one of the few people who have successfully made the hop
from above-average jock (WIGY/WGAN just to name two)(and if you've not heard
Mr. Bullett, he's got one of those lovely Charlie Van Dyke voices.) to
"sparks". most of what he learned, he picked up on the job. starting with
tweaking the itc's at WGAN in 1984. He had a good run, and i wish luck to
the next C.E. in. Right now, they're running two studio facilities (making
room at the big one on Western Ave for WPOR, still on Baxter Blvd.), plus
running themselves ragged with five different tx sites. (Scarboro 970 WZAN;
Falmouth WPOR on Blackstrap; and 3 in Portland: 560WGAN, 1400 WBAE, and the
WMGX/WYNZ tower off of 295)
good luck, chuck. (just thinking: it's a natural progression for him,
since he is "Chuck Bullet", could translate into the 90's upgrade of Chuck
Dot)
