If love is never having to say you're sorry, there is no love evident in
recent print ads in the Laconia market. A recent ad from WEMJ begins
"SORRY LAURA" (referring to its former 3-6pm advice-giver) and continues
"starting Monday [March 30] on 1490 WEMJ it's THIS GUY! [picture of
Howie Carr & friends] He's NOT his kid's Dad! (We're not sure they
even LIKE him)."
More recently I've seen a WNHI ad that begins "Sorry, Warren..."
(referring to WLNH institution/morning guy Warren Bailey) and continues
"Imus leads the Lakes Region! What radio station do the most Belknap
County listeners choose in the morning? It's not the one claiming to be
#1 for years. It's the station with Imus in the Morning and Pure
Classic Rock all day...93.3FM WNHI."
