New WEGQ due Thu. at 3 pm (was: Bald in Boston)

A promo for Carlson and McKenzie ran around 9:30 pm
(or so) tonight on WEGQ. Around 10 pm they started
running Prince's "1999" non-stop, with an announcement
from their PD that WEGQ would be "building a better
radio station". Liners said that the actual change
would take place tomorrow (Thu 4/1) at 3 pm; "this is
not an April Fools' joke"; "we're building a better
radio station for the new millenium".

Apparently they will be running nothing but Prince's
"1999" until Thu. at 3 pm. New format? Anyone's
guess (R&B based oldies? The new home of WAAF?).
