More WLLH News

With the pending FCC approval of WLLH's sale to Mega Broadcasting expected
in mid to late April, this means not only the end of it's Standards
format, but it was announced today that "Mediterranean Melodies",the weekly
Greek program hosted by Bill Themelis will leave the air after 33 years on
April 11(which happens to be Greek Easter). The show first aired in March
1966 and has been a staple of WLLH's Sunday morning schedule.Bill Themelis'
announcement of the show's run coming to an end mentioned that the sale of
WLLH to Mega means the format will change and that his show will no longer
air on WLLH.He invited listeners to write to WLLH with comments about the
program's end if they wished to.So it sounds to me like Themelis won't be
moving his show over to WCAP.However,"The Sounds of Ireland" show will move
to WCAP starting on April 18,Noon-1PM.It's last WLLH airing will be on
April 11.
