Re: WLLH:Home of Ameriacn Popular Standards

<snip>
I heard WLLH use this positioner, which as we all know was used by WQEW
>in New York before they became a Mickey Mouse operation!! I'm just
curious
>if anyone on the list knows if that positioner is a registered trade
or
>service mark of WQEW? Are there any other adult standards stations
using
>this positioner?         Mark Watson

You just beat me to that question. I heard the ID liner with that in
there. My first instinct was that it may be NY Times property, WLLH
may think it as such, but figures that a kW in Lowell//Lawrence
wouldn't be worth NYT's trouble. Unless, of course, many AS stations
starting feeding on it across the fruited plain (and someone there is
reading this!)

Here's to genuine originality!

This brings forward a (potential) discussion question: What "TRULY
original" radio ideas, slogans, formats, concepts, ear-turners have
been spawned since, say, 1990?
