Actually, it's a brand new 100,000watt station on 96.7FM
in Arlington,TX. ABC/Disney bought it back in August
when it was stil 'dark'. It went on the air in the early fall
with satellite rock'n'roll oldies format. ABC finally
closed on 96-7 and its suggestive call letters
in mid-November. They then switched the format to
SAC/Easy Listening right before Thanksgiving. It's
now 'Memories 96-7'. The new call letters will be(or already
are) KMEO(last used in Phoenix by now-defunct Easy Listening
station). From what I gather, the format only goes from
late 50's to mid-80's(I think KZZZ should have been
more appropriate calls :).

Dallas/Ft Worth is an interesting market. Oversaturated
with 50 different kinds of country formats. But not
a single good rock station.
