IMHO, WXKS AM could do something most stations are moving away
from...local radio. While they are (technically) a Metro Boston station,
their primary listening area is the Mystic Valley. Even if they did a
local morning and afternoon drive show, they could fill a niche by doing
something most of us either grew up listening to or worked in: local
radio.
Yea yea, I know, profit margin stinks in local radio. But, think of the
listener base if a station offered local lunch menus, high school
basketball, etc.
OK, so maybe its more of a dream then potential reality. It could happen.
