RE: Fwd: "WBZ-FM 106.7FM"

1979 and 1980 I was overnight producer at WBZ (AM). My producer position in the control room was to the right of the engineer (next to the 5K transmitter) and "Bozo" was behind me. At the time that I was there (fall & winter 79 into spring of 80) Wendy somebody ran the FM.

When I was working at WHDH in 1979-80, I always listened to BZ-FM on my way
to work. I loved the music mix-- they played some great AOR tracks that
had never quite been hits, plus some good soft rock. I still remember they
were the only station that played "Walking in the Rain" by Flash and the
Pan (everyone else played "Hey St. Peter") and assorted under-appreciated
tracks by the Sweet and Blondie and that great song by New England "Don't
Ever Wanna Lose Ya." I believe the music director then was the guy today
known as Ed McMahon on Kiss 108-- he was Jim McMahon back then, if I recall
correctly...
