Re: Donn Tibbetts

Gary Ford wrote of the late Donn Tibbetts: "But he got his start in
broadcasting at WKBR 1250
Manchester in 1949. He was also heard on WTSV Claremont, WKXL Concord,
WFEA Manchester and WHDH in Boston, MA. He joined which was then WMUR
radio and TV Manchester in 1954."

Here's one more for the list: Tibbetts was part of the staff when WTSL
Lebanon went on the air in 1950.

Tibbetts was 2 days shy of his 68th birthday when he died of a massive
coronary Friday afternoon. He was supposed to interview Patti Page live
on NH Public Televison Saturday night during the current fundraiser.
Ally McNair got the honors instead; after her introductory interview she
announced that before the program got underway there would be a pause to
remember a colleague. A screen reading "In Memory--Donn Tibbetts" (or
something close to that) appeared for 2 or 3 seconds.
