In an ideal situation, say the FM is a music station, and the AM is
full-service, or news-talk. An AM newsperson would spend about 10 minutes
on the FM (including prep, waiting for cues, etc.) and then return to the AM
where he or she would fit back in as one of teh anchors...or he or she could
do teh news on FM while the AM is doing music. Same thing for traffic
copter reoports.

The news printer is being replaced by computer, and you select the stories
you want and print them out. No more waste of volumes of unnecessary paper,
filled with weather and news from outside of your coverage area.

Now as for the newspaper, any Radio newsperson who tells you he or she
doesn't "borrow" from the local newspaper on occasion, might think you've
got wool over your eyes.
