Re: Will News/Information In Morning Drive Soon Vanish from Music Stations?



As a former newsperson, I agree with your statement about contracting out
the news services, but will disagree with the statement that was made in
earlier posts that news will be eliminated all together.  People want to be
entertained, but also informed.  Brief (as in the "Kiss 108 information
update"...fill in the frequency and calls with the time/station/frequency of
your choice) newscasts will always be a part, especially if you have a sales
staff that sells the casts properly.

Once again...money is the key.   If the news adjancies can be sold, there
will probably be news in prime dayparts.

Just a thought.
