using newstaff to do remotes

I was just listening to WTAG here in Worcester today, they have their news
staff doing remotes plugging CWT gift certificates and the like from the
Auburn Mall.   Of course they cut in on the Rush L. show to do this, maybe
this is their idea of "local programming".  WTAG has recently been taking
print ads out all over the place claiming that they are a "leader" in local
programming.....This after getting generally blasted in the local press for
axing Upton Bell, and cutting the late evening newscasts....
