RE: We Interrupt This Impeachment Hearing To Bring You A Press Conference!

So does that also make it the WHCN Patriots Rock Radio Network?

Subject:	We Interrupt This Impeachment Hearing To Bring You A Press
Conference!

At 11:27 A.M. (aprox.) this morning (Thursday, November 19th), a
press conference was being held in Hartford to announce the move of
the New England Patriots there starting in September, 2001.
At the same time, special prosecutor Ken Starr was testifying in
a televised hearing of the House Judiciary Committee.
Here's how Boston and Providence TV stations reacted:
Channels 4 and 7 in Boston and 10 and 12 in Providence broke away from
the impeachment hearing for about 15 minutes to carry the press
conference live. Channel 5 in Boston and Channel 6 in New Bedford
didn't break away from the hearing, instead running a crawl on the
bottom of the screen.
I would think that had this hearing NOT been held today that channels
5 and 6 would have carried the press conference live, and that the
stations that did would have had in-depth analysis after it ended.
But because Ken Starr was still testifying, it was "Back to D.C. and
The Network" as soon as the Hartford press briefing had ended.
In addition, Channel 25 in Boston (who was not carrying the House
Judiciary hearing) also carried the press conference live.
<sarcasm mode on>
And now, some jingles.....
A one...anna two....anna three......
"The Game's On 3!/The Game's on 3!/The Game's on 3!/The Game's On 3!"
And another jingle:
"We play the Patriots...Here on Threeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!"</sarcasm
mode off>
For Channel 3 in Hartford, this has to be the best news since that hot
summer's day in 1958 when CBS decided to dump WHCT-18 and give the
then WTIC-3 affiliation to what was then television's top-rated
network effective that fall--just about a year after going on the air
as an independent.
