New 'RKO talk host--Ray Flynn?And what about Jerry?

On yesterday's Howie Carr show, somebody said 
"Vodka corrupts, and Absolut vodka corrupts
Absolut-ly" (a spoof of the saying "power corrupts"...), and Howie
then made a vague reference to
somebody who "might soon be a WRKO talk host" (implying
that said host was a drinker). Today's Herald said that
WRKO was trying to get ex-Boston mayor Ray Flynn to
do its Saturday 10am- 1pm slot,with Andy Moes moving
to 1-4 pm (replacing the esteemed Jerry Williams).

Carr, of course,has frequently made snide jokes about
Flynn's supposed love of "adult beverages".
One of the first times I heard Howie, he was playing
a sound cut by Flynn, and a familiar ad jingle started
to fade in. Then the lyrics could be heard: "if you've
got the time, we've got the beer..."

Should be interesting should Flynn take the job. By
the way, any word on whether or not Jerry Williams
will be allowed to do a "farewell show"? If, as I
heard, he's not considered a station employee any more
(due to the new owners--his contract is with CBS, the
previous owners), there was talk of him doing a
"guest appearance" on someone else's show, to get
around it.
