Lost 45s, Dr. Demento

I remember "Lost 45s" at WZLX, and even have a tape of
the show from 1991, I believe, when the special guest
was Barrett "Dr. Demento" Hansen. For the first two
hours of Barry Scott's show, the Doctor was there to
play some demented hits ("Dead Skunk", "King Tut" et
al), then Barry did a solo last hour, with the
Doctor's regular syndicated show following.

Speaking of which, it's been awhile since any Boston
station ran Dr. Demento. Would be great if someone
picked it up! The Doctor did a guest appearance last
year on WRKO's Jeff Katz show (when Katz was still on
at night), and it was indeed mentioned then that
Boston radio was not airing his show. And it's still
not on, to the best of my knowledge.

"Things get a little easier...once you understand"
(line from a kitschy early-70s hit about trying to
bring the generation gap together)
